Attacks_
Attacks are the heart of the game: they are how you earn money and experience. Each one is a small hacking job that takes a few seconds to run.
Choosing an attack
On the Attack page attacks are grouped by type (phishing, malware, SQL injection and so on). Each group unlocks at a minimum level, so new ones appear as you grow.

For every attack you see:
- Difficulty: how hard it is to pull off.
- Stamina: how much stamina it consumes.
- Execution time: how long it takes.
- Money and Exp: what you earn if it goes well.
- Success probability: your chances, based on your current power.
How success works
Your power comes from your skills plus your hardware. If it is higher than the attack's difficulty, the attack succeeds; a little luck is always involved, so near the limit the result can go either way. The success probability already takes all of this into account: start with the attacks at 100%.
Click ./attack --start to launch it. You can run one attack at a time: the Runners panel shows the one in progress and a notification tells you how it went.
When it goes wrong
A failed attack gives you no money and no experience, and it raises your felony: the harder the group, the bigger the increase. Successful attacks raise it too, but only a tiny bit.
When felony reaches 100 you are arrested: you spend 24 hours in jail and all your hardware is confiscated.
Tip: the radio button next to each group sets your default group, the one that opens first when you come back to the page.
Next step: make your power grow with the Hardware Store.
